What does this mean?

Hold a phone camera (iPhone or Android) in front of the code and tap the notification: the phone will connect to your wifi automatically, without anyone having to type the password. Print the code and hang it near your router or in the guest room.

The code is generated in your browser. Your network name and password are not sent anywhere. Anyone who sees the code can access your wifi: for guests, use a separate guest network instead.
