Power Costs

Calculate what your Raspberry Pi, mini PC, or NAS costs in power, per day, month, and year.

DevicePower (W)Hours per daykWh per yearCost per year
What does this mean?

A device drawing 10 watts that runs all day uses about 88 kWh per year. At 30 cents per kWh that costs around 26 euros. You can find the power rating on the adapter, or measure it with a power meter; actual consumption is usually lower than what the label states. The examples above are estimates for a device running idle.

Adjust the price per kWh to match your own energy contract. If you have a dynamic contract, use the average price from the past year.
