Proxmox and Docker

LXC generator

Configure an LXC container and get the ready-to-use pct create command for Proxmox, including Docker options and bind mount.

What does this mean?

With pct create you create an LXC container from the Proxmox command line. This is faster than clicking and you can save the command. Run the commands in the shell of your Proxmox host (not in a container).

The template name differs per Proxmox version. Find the correct name with pveam update and pveam available --section system, and download it with pveam download local NAME. Deliberately without password in the command: use an SSH key, or set a password afterward with pct enter and passwd, so it does not end up in your shell history. Everything happens in your browser.
